Meet Latika Chopra

Healthy Baker, Owner of Hola Zero Cafe

It was through the vibrant rooms of BNI Konnectors that Latika Chopra and I first crossed paths, and I was instantly drawn to her chirpy, infectious energy. Happily thriving in her own delicious, gluten-free world, Latika’s inspiring journey saw her bravely switch roles from fashion to F&B after fighting past a critical health issue. That life-changing battle became the exact spark for Hola Zero Cafe, where she is now on a deeply personal mission to make everyone fit through guilt-free food. Meeting her reminds you that out of life's toughest moments, something incredibly sweet, and healthy can be built.

Social Konnections: The "Real Talk" Q&A

If your cafe was a song, what would it be?

“Lavender Haze” by Taylor Swift

Honestly, I wanted Hola to feel like a little escape.

Not a place that feels too serious or “diet-like” — more like somewhere you can walk in, take a breath, have a beautiful coffee, enjoy something sweet, and still feel good about it after.

The vibe is soft, calm, pretty, and comforting — with the lavender tones, the flowers, the cozy corners, and food that feels indulgent but is made more thoughtfully.

For me, the feeling is:

“Come in for a treat, leave feeling lighter.”

What’s the reality of the 5:00 AM start?

It’s waking up while the city is still quiet, checking kitchen updates, coordinating orders, thinking about staff, ingredients, deliveries — and then still doing the normal mum things like getting Myra ready and managing school drop-off.

Some mornings feel exciting, some feel exhausting, and some feel like everything is happening at the same time.

But that early start is what keeps the café fresh, the food consistent, and the day moving before customers even walk in.

Behind every pretty coffee, cake, and calm café moment, there’s a very real morning of planning, rushing, and trying to hold everything together.

Who is the most interesting stranger you’ve met across the counter?

Honestly, it’s the people who take one bite and then look genuinely shocked and say, “Wait… this is sugar-free?”

That reaction never gets old.

It reminds me why I started Hola — to show people that healthier food doesn’t have to feel like a compromise. You can still enjoy cake, coffee, and dessert, and feel good about it after.

What’s the "Signature" you’re most proud of?

For us, it will always be our Tiramisu.

It’s creamy, rich, and comforting — the kind of dessert that feels like a real treat. But the best part is watching people take a bite, pause, and say, “Wait… this is sugar-free?”

That moment says everything.

Our Tiramisu is what Hola stands for — classic indulgence, made lighter, cleaner, and without the guilt.

What’s the dream for your next "Full Circle"?

The dream is for Hola to become more than just a café — to become a little wellness corner people trust and love coming back to.

Of course, more locations would be amazing. But first, I want Hola to become the heart of its community: a place for coffee dates, healthy treats, workshops, conversations, and those small everyday moments where people feel good about choosing better.

For me, the full circle is when healthy food doesn’t feel like a trend anymore — it just becomes part of people’s lifestyle.

Behind every pretty coffee, cake, and calm café moment, there’s a very real morning of planning, rushing, and trying to hold everything together.
