They say curiosity is a restless thing, but in my experience, it’s the only thing that’s ever made me feel truly alive.

I’ve always been the person who wonders why paths cross. Why do we meet certain people at exactly the right moment? What happens when we stop looking for a “reason” to network and start looking for the human story instead?

My own journey has been a bit of a map. I was born in Dubai, UAE, grew up under the Muscat sun, and found my creative footing amidst the beautiful chaos of Mumbai during college. After diving headfirst into the world of marketing, life brought me back to the UAE, a full circle that still astonishes me.

But the circle wasn’t just about geography; it was about growth. Before I founded my Marketing agency – Socioholics, I lived the high-stakes life of e-commerce. I owned and navigated a daily deal platform and a marketplace, a journey that taught me the grit behind the glamour. Along the way, we even picked up
Web Awards and had the privilege of working with some of the most popular brands in the region. Those years weren’t just about winning; they were about learning. I saw firsthand how a brand goes from an idea to a household name.

Eventually, that path led me to start Socioholics. I founded this marketing agency on a “Digital First” philosophy, but with a very personal touch. I’ve always been selective, I choose my clients carefully because I don’t just want to “work” for them; I want to see them grow. There is nothing quite like the adrenaline of watching a partner’s vision take flight.

But as much as I love the strategy and the data, I’ve realized that the most powerful “algorithm” is still human connection.

Honestly, I used to think networking was just another marketing tool on a checklist, something you did because you had to. But I didn’t truly understand its power until I found my way to BNI Konnectors!. It’s true when they say – ”Word of mouth”, is the most powerful marketing tool!

My decision wasn’t easy; I actually visited two or three other chapters before I decided to join this one. What hooked me was the vibe. I finally found a room of well-spoken people who were fun to be around but incredibly serious about business. It’s that mix of impactful networking and genuine go-getters that makes all the difference.

Most of the people I’m featuring are from our chapter, along with others who have crossed my path and stayed there. It’s been an impactful journey realizing that networking isn’t just a tactic, it’s about the people who walk the path with you.

This blog, Social Konnection, is my way of sharing the ‘why’ behind the wins we see on the surface. These are stories from me to you—unfiltered glimpses into the lives of entrepreneurs, achievers, and the quiet disruptors in our society. I’m sharing them so you can get to know the people behind the titles, learn from their messy middles.
